Kim McConnell receives Order of Canada

It is with great excitement to congratulate Kim McConnell on receiving the Order of Canada. Established during Canada’s centennial year by Queen Elizabeth II, the Order of Canada is one of our country’s highest civilian honours.

I had the great pleasure to welcome Mr. McConnell to Parliament Hill shortly after, along with my colleagues, to discuss agriculture in Canada, trade, & and the Canada Food Guide.

It was our pleasure to also present a letter of congratulations to Mr. McConnell, recipient of the Order Of Canada & Agriculture Hall of Fame inductee. Mr. McConnell is a leader in Canadian agriculture marketing and founder and former CEO of AdFarm.

He is highly recognized for both his leadership in promoting Canada’s agricultural industry and for his extensive engagement in causes supporting youth, entrepreneurship and rural communities. We are lucky to have Mr. McConnell in our community as well as a strong advocate for Canadian Agriculture. Once again, congratulations to such a deserving person, on receiving The Order of Canada.
