Take Part in The Canada Day Challenge!
The Canada Day Challenge is an annual contest that invites Canadians from 8 to 18 years old to unleash their creativity and show their pride in being Canadian by presenting an entry in one or more of the three following categories:
Draw it! – present a poster, drawing or painting
Snap it! – present an original digital photo
Write it! – present a short story, poem or essay
Young Canadians are invited to discover the great moments that shaped the history of our country, under the theme “Strong. Proud. Free.”
This year, nine finalists will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Ottawa for two (the finalist and a parent or a legal guardian) to participate in Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill and visit museums, art galleries and the famous Parliament buildings. In addition, the nine finalists will have the opportunity of working with a team from the National Film Board of Canada who will guide them in the production of an individual short feature about their adventure in the National Capital.
The deadline to take on the Canada Day Challenge is April 2, 2015.
